Connection is what makes conversion easier Most p Connection is what makes conversion easier

Most people are not going to enquire the first time they see your business. It happens, but we can't rely on that first contact point! They are watching for a bit first.

They are getting a feel for who you are, what you do, how clear your offer is, and whether your business feels like the right fit for them. That is why connection matters so much in branding. It helps people understand you faster and trust you sooner.

I've had clients meet me, come to events, or just follow me and start working with me 18 months - 2 years down the line! Sometimes it's the long game for them and for us to be ready!

Your brand photos play a big part in that. That constant reminder of who you are, sticks in their brain.

They are not just there to make your grid look nice. They should be helping people see what you do, how you work, what your process feels like, and what kind of experience they can expect. They add context. They make your content feel more grounded.

And when people do not have to work hard to figure you out, conversion gets easier.

❌ Not because your content is more salesy.

Because it is clearer.
More consistent.
More believable.

That is what turns content from a nice post into an enquiry.
You probably have more content than you think…. You probably have more content than you think....

Before you decide you need another photo session (you know where I am for an update though!), it is worth taking a proper look at your existing gallery.

Most people default to the same small group of images. Usually the most polished ones, the ones that feel safest to share. That often means headshots are used repeatedly while everything else is overlooked.

The problem with that is that it limits your content.

The images that show you working, the small details, the less posed moments, those are the ones that add depth. The Behind the Scenes - even if it doesn't feel as polished, your clients will LOVE. They help your audience understand what you do in a more realistic way.

If your content is starting to feel repetitive, it is often not because you have run out of images. It is because you have not explored the full range of what you already have.
One of the quickest ways to make your brand feel s One of the quickest ways to make your brand feel stronger is to make it feel consistent everywhere.

Your Instagram, website, emails, PR, brochures and client docs should all feel like they come from the same business. Same energy, same standard, same overall feel.
When your colours are consistent, your fonts feel intentional, and your photography actually matches your brand, people trust it faster. It feels more established, more considered and more worth paying attention to.

That is the thing with cohesive content. It does not just make your brand look nicer. It makes it feel clearer, more recognisable and more valuable. It also makes creating content easier!

And the photography side matters more than a lot of people realise. You can have lovely branding, but if the imagery feels random, dated or disconnected, it can throw the whole thing off.

A cohesive brand feels easier to trust because your clients feel like they know exactly who you are.
Do you feel like your content is not leading to e Do you feel like your content is not leading to enquiries? Don't worry, you're not alone!

It is easy to assume your content is not working because you are not posting enough. Or because you are not keeping up with trends, doing enough video, or showing up in all the right places.

Sometimes that is true. A lot of the time though, that is not the real issue.

Often, the problem is connection.

You might be posting consistently, sharing good advice, and using lovely images, but if it all feels a bit disconnected, people are not getting enough to make a decision. They might enjoy your content. They might even save it. But that does not automatically mean they trust your business enough to enquire.

Connection is the part that helps people go from casually looking to properly paying attention.

It is what makes someone think, this feels relevant, safe and of value to me. I can actually picture working with them.

That is a huge shift, and it matters far more than just being visible.

If your content feels busy but not very joined up, that might be the thing to look at first.
A lot of content struggles start with the same hab A lot of content struggles start with the same habit. Opening your gallery and trying to find a photo that feels “right”, then attempting to build a caption around it.
That usually leads to content that feels a bit surface level.

A better way to approach it is to start with the message. What do you actually want your audience to understand from this post? Are you explaining your process, sharing something your clients struggle with, or helping people understand how you work?
Once that is clear, choosing the image becomes much easier.

A photo of you working supports a post about your process.
A more relaxed portrait helps build connection.
A detail shot can support something more practical or specific.
Or even any of these faded out with the text in front if you're struggling to post!

When you work this way, your content starts to feel more intentional and less like you are guessing each time. Even in those times you're posting reactionary content - this can help the you have a gallery of photos great to go... no scrabbling to find the right image...
One of the most common questions around brand shoo One of the most common questions around brand shoots is what to wear.

The honest answer is not “something trendy” or “what you think you should wear”.

It’s something that fits well, feels comfortable, and reflects your brand. If the two coincide - brilliant! If not, no worries…

When you feel like yourself, it shows. And that confidence comes through far more than any specific outfit choice.

Social media is only one part of it. Your photos Social media is only one part of it.

Your photos can also support your website, enquiry process, freebies, email marketing, sales pages, LinkedIn, Facebook, blog posts, guest features, talks, workshops and digital products.

That is why I plan shoots around usefulness, not just aesthetics. I want you to have photos that slot into your business properly, not just sit on the feed looking pretty.

... and who doesn't want more use out of their business investments, I know I do! One shoot can mean months or meaningful use cases if planned well.
Here’s a question for you: What does your brand st Here’s a question for you: What does your brand stand for?

Your brand values are the heart and soul of your business.

They’re the things that matter most to you and guide how you show up for your clients. Here’s why they’re so important:
✔️ They set you apart. Your values are unique to you and make your business more than just a product or service.
✔️ They build trust. When clients see that you share their values, they’re more likely to connect with you.
✔️ They guide decisions. From choosing your brand colors to deciding what to post on Instagram, your values act as your compass.

For me, my brand is all about creativity, connection, and helping businesses show up.

What about you? Share your brand values in the comments, I’d love to know!
